Why Our Lab Report Stands Out

At Ādisūtra, we’re committed to going well beyond industry norms for transparency. While other brands may present simplified lab results indicating "pass" or "not detected," we offer a fully comprehensive breakdown in our Certificate of Analysis. Each lab report includes precise measurements for key compounds and heavy metals, allowing our customers to see the exact profile of what they’re consuming.

Our Certificate of Analysis also carries an official Eurofins barcode, enabling customers to verify the authenticity of the report directly on the Eurofins website, which ensures transparency and credibility unmatched by many competitors. In providing detailed data and independent verification, we are setting a high benchmark for accountability in Shilajit production.

Eurofins is a globally renowned laboratory network known for its rigorous testing and certification processes, operating with over 900 laboratories in 50 countries. Recognised for its strict adherence to international standards, Eurofins provides comprehensive testing services across various industries, including food safety, pharmaceuticals, and environmental analysis.

Choosing Ādisūtra means choosing a guaranteed quality, and a brand that values integrity, quality, and transparency every step of the way, ensuring you receive the purest Shilajit backed by science and a commitment to best practices.

Understanding Heavy Metal Levels in Ādisūtra Shilajit: How It Compares to Common Foods

Ādisūtra Shilajit undergoes rigorous sourcing, processing and testing to ensure it is safe and pure, with its levels of naturally occurring heavy metals well within safe limits. Here’s how these levels stack up compared to everyday foods, demonstrating that our Shilajit is as safe, if not safer, than what’s commonly found in our diets:

1. Arsenic (0.44 mg/kg): Arsenic is naturally present in many foods, particularly grains. For context, rice can contain levels of arsenic between 0.1 and 0.4 mg/kg, similar to the low levels in Ādisūtra's Himalayan Shilajit. Even with regular consumption, this Shilajit has less arsenic than many rice-based foods, making it a safe part of daily wellness.

2. Cadmium (0.02 mg/kg): This is extremely low and compares favourably with leafy greens like spinach and potatoes, which naturally absorb trace cadmium from the soil. For example, spinach can have around 0.03 mg/kg of cadmium, while potatoes contain around 0.02 mg/kg. Adisutra Shilajit matches these low levels, supporting safe consumption.

3. Lead (0.27 mg/kg): Lead naturally exists in various root vegetables and leafy greens, which draw it from soil. Foods like carrots and kale often contain trace levels of lead, ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 mg/kg, similar to what’s in our Shilajit. This makes Ādisūtra's Himalayan Shilajit's lead content comparable to or even lower than common vegetables and safe for consumption.

4. Mercury (<0.01 mg/kg): Mercury levels in Ādisūtra Himalayan Shilajit are below detectable limits, making it virtually mercury-free. By comparison, many fish such as tuna and swordfish, which are safe in moderation, can contain higher mercury levels—anywhere from 0.1 to 1 mg/kg. That means that canned store bought Tuna has the potential to contain 100x more Mercury than our product. Our Shilajit offers a mercury-safe option in line with UK and wider international health standards.

Our Strict Compliance with UK Health Regulations

Ādisūtra Shilajit is thoroughly tested to align with the United Kingdom's regulatory standards for food supplements, ensuring safe levels of heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium. The UK follows strict guidelines established by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and other bodies, which outline maximum allowable limits for these substances to ensure consumer safety.

For example, according to FSA guidelines for food supplements, the recommended limits for these heavy metals are as follows:

  • Lead: 3.0 mg/kg

  • Arsenic: 1.0 mg/kg (for inorganic arsenic)

  • Mercury: 0.1 mg/kg

  • Cadmium: 1.0 mg/kg

Our Eurofins Internationally Certified lab results demonstrate that Ādisūtra Shilajit contains levels well below these thresholds, exceeding UK standards for purity and safety. For instance:

  • Lead content in our Shilajit is measured at 0.27 mg/kg—significantly below the UK maximum of 3.0 mg/kg.

  • Arsenic levels are in our Shilajit are 0.44 mg/kg, also far under the allowable 1.0 mg/kg.

  • Mercury and cadmium both fall within safe limits, ensuring our Shilajit is suitable for regular consumption.

By adhering to these UK standards, Ādisūtra Shilajit provides a product that is not only effective and authentic but also safe and responsibly produced from sourcing, all the way to your door. Our dedication to transparency means lab reports are readily accessible, offering customers confidence in both the quality and safety of each batch.
